Another school project, this one designed to teach the concept of a "social battery." Playing as an introvert at a college party, the player has to balance both their own social battery and the person they are talking to. The game involves predicting the conversation partner's move, as if they decide to dump a lot of social battery, theres a chance both you and them won't be able to handle the amount, ending the conversation early.

A school project for my Project Management capstone class, I designed a card game based around balancing quality, funds, and timing. A randomly shuffled deck of situations would have teams of students make choices to balance those three pillars of project management. The professor was very pleased, and planned on using the game as his first assignment for his introductory class.

My first delve into project management and game design, this entry to the 2019 GMTK Game jam was made with friends within 48 hours, using the theme, "Only One." What was created was Loser Boi, essentially a torture test of a game about waiting for a logo to bounce into the corner of the screen. The narration provided an interesting through line that kept the player laughing and entertained as they awaited their chance to win.
My original experience with designing game mechanics was creating a board game as a laser engraving project. The game involved collecting food to survive each round of the game, but the required amount of food increased, leading to players competing more and more for foraging spots and weapons. It created a rising tension that made an admittedly unsophisticated system still fun to play.
